Diogo Jota found his goalscoring boots in Liverpool's trip to Fulham on Sunday with a sublime finish to seal the Reds' 3-1 win at Craven Cottage. But Jurgen Klopp still doesn't see the Portuguese as the best finisher at Liverpool.
"The best finisher in this club is obviously Mo Salah with some distance," Klopp said.
"It is just super-cool to have Diogo back, he can play all three positions up front. It is as important that Cody Gakpo is back.
"He wasn’t injured, but he was a little bit struggling. He is now fully back since three or four games. He is physically there, is extremely strong, keeps the ball and stuff like this, so that’s really helpful as well," the outgoing gaffer added on Jota.
The numbers back Klopp's assertion. Salah is in the run-in to win the Premier League Golden Boot once again with 17 goals this season, that's despite a dip in form. In all competitions, the Egyptian King has 24 goals already. That's nine clear of Jota.
The good news for Liverpool is that they have players like Jota who can step up when Salah struggles.
