'Just throw the kitchen sink at it': Trent sets out target for season remainder

"[Today] was huge, obviously," Trent Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports after Liverpool's win over Fulham.

"At this point in the season, [if] you don’t get the results that you want then you’re out of the title race.

"It was a very important game for us, obviously [after] seeing Arsenal get their result last night. It was a big one and now we have five finals, just throw the kitchen sink at it and try to get over the line.

"I think at this point of the season, the likelihood in our minds is that [Manchester City] won’t drop points. That comes from previous seasons that we’ve had against them.

"But we need to be in a position. Last week, we kicked ourselves because results went our way and we were not able to capitalise on it.

"It was disappointing last week so we need to make sure it doesn’t happen, and if something does happen, [City] drop points, Arsenal drop points, then we are in a better position.

"From now on it’s five wins from five, and that’s the only thing we can expect and that’s all we can aim for."

Liverpool still need both Man City and Arsenal to drop points to stand a chance to compete for the Premier League title. Still, neither have proven themselves perfect, so the Reds need to be in a position to capitalise if that happens.
