Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has criticized Darwin Nunez for not timing his runs correctly and being caught offside too often.
He also compared him to Roberto Firmino and shared his view on how he differed from the Uruguayan's style.
“Liverpool’s style changed when they had Firmino, okay, because he fed everything, he set up Mane and Salah, he would drop in, picked the ball up, very rarely gave it away, great work-rate, but he never really stretched teams, with Salah and Mane stretched teams,” he said.
“Now they have got the centre-forwards stretching the team, and that’s Nunez. But Nunez has got this awful habit of being caught offside. It is a terrible thing.
"It is so frustrating for a team who are a team who are looking to get behind the opposition.
"He is quick enough to give players half a yard, he is quick enough to give defenders half a yard, but he gets caught way too often.”
