"A massive result for Liverpool, not just in terms of the title race and the three points. They needed to get back on track," Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports after the Reds' 3-1 win over Fulham.
"And actually, midweek, Liverpool won the game, went out the competition but I think Jurgen Klopp used that almost like 'Liverpool are back. We've got a clean sheet, we won the game'.
"This was a step up again in terms of performance. Still they could do better, of course, but it's a massive result now.
"Liverpool right now, five games to go in the Premier League, level on top with Arsenal just [behind] on goal difference... it's a great position to be in."
Liverpool will take heart from the performance as well as the result against Fulham. They were especially impressive in the second half as they secured the three points.
On Wednesday, they will have a chance to leave the dark patch completely behind as they take on Everton.
