How much could Real Madrid realistically pay for Trent Alexander-Arnold?

Real Madrid are said to be keeping tabs on Trent Alexander-Arnold whose current deal with Liverpool expires already in the summer of 2025.

Let's imagine the Whites decide to go for the Englishman this year and the player doesn't sign a new contract with the Reds. How much would Real Madrid offer for the 25-year-old?

Of course, Trent is one of the best players in the world in his position, if not the best. It would be wise to demand £150-200m for such a talent – but not with his contract running until 2025. Quite possibly, one of the reasons behind Real Madrid's interest is exactly their desire to sign him for a relatively low cost or even for free next year.

Trent's estimated value is £60m which seems quite low given his rise in form this season. However, even if it gets higher, the final fee is unlikely to be above £100m, with Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich serving as a fresh example. Real Madrid are in a comfortable financial position, but they still tend to not overpay for whoever they sign.

Our prediction, though, is that Real Madrid won't go for Trent this summer amid Dani Carvajal's great form. They will either sign him as a free agent, or the 25-year-old will simply extend his Liverpool deal.
