Liverpool's biggest strengths in Man City draw – shown in lineup

Liverpool and Manchester City drew an enthralling game of Premier League football on Sunday night, leaving the Reds feeling more unlucky than City given the number of chances they had.

City started the first half better than Liverpool and strung together several passing moves putting Jurgen Klopp's side on the backfoot.

The Reds soon got back into it though and were unlucky not to find a goal from open play when Darwin Nunez fell short of Conor Bradley's fizzed pass to the back post.

The second half was a much-improved performance as Nunez intercepted a pass to win Liverpool a penalty with Ederson flying into him with a late tackle.

Nunez, Van Dijk, Quansah and Kelleher were all in top form but the standout performers in the clash would have to be Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Luis Diaz.

Diaz could have won the game for the Reds and missed a couple of great chances but despite that, he tormented the City defender all second half.

Not only did Mac Allister step up to score the penalty but his energy and creativity dictated Liverpool's tempo for large parts of the game.

Endo was an absolute monster in the middle of the park, breaking up numerous attacks by getting tight to the City midfielders and not letting them turn and create chances for Haaland.
