'Gareth, honestly?': Klopp sends message to Southgate over one Liverpool player

Speaking after the Man City draw, Jurgen Klopp said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo: "Joe Gomez. Gareth, honestly?"

The Liverpool defender has only 11 England caps to his name and Klopp has previously urged Southgate to consider calling him up.

In the City game, Gomez started as a left-back and then moved to right-back. His natural position is that of a centre-back but he's also played in the no. 6 role this season.

We'll know whether the 26-year-old gets a call-up on Thursday when England's squad is announced. The Three Lions face Brazil and Belgium in friendlies this international break.
