'Tell me better love story than Darwin and post': Darwin hits woodwork on full speed trying to get to Bradley's cross

Darwin Nunez came very close to scoring early in the first half. Conor Bradley turned Nathan Ake inside out on the right-hand side and drilled a cross across the goal line.

The Uruguayan ran at full speed trying to connect to the cross, sliding as he tried to get his feet to the ball.

The striker failed to do it and hit himself in the post — it felt as if Darwin was hurt. But he kept on playing after that.

"Tell me a better love story than Darwin Nunez and post," a Liverpool fan Lucky Reds joked on Twitter.
