'I could've done a lot more': Clark reflects on first Prem start for Liverpool

Bobby Clark made his first Premier League start on Saturday in Liverpool's 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.

The youngster learned that he would start the day before the game. He says, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo: "It was yesterday (Friday) in training when we were doing walkthroughs for the game.

"I thought I was decent (against Forest) but could have done a lot more given what I know I can do, but it was alright.

"I do feel as though I'm taking it in my stride, but it all comes from the gaffer and all the players. They fill you with confidence and let you do your thing. If you don't have a manager like that, it's going to be much harder."

Darwin Nunez scored the winning goal in the ninth minute of added time. Clark was already subbed off when the Uruguayan clinched three points for Liverpool.

"It's mad," Bobby added. "I always had the feeling we would do something with the top players we have got on the pitch, and Alexis [Mac Allister] with the calmness at the end and Darwin putting it in, it was top.

"Every day I'm learning off the other players, especially (Alexis) in my position and what he did at the end was special.

"It was a great way for it to end. Obviously I was grateful to get my first start in the Premier League. When I came off, things were out of my control but I knew something was coming and that late winner was top."
