Liverpool's biggest strengths in thrilling Forest win shown in lineup – features four players

Liverpool kept it extremely late to carve out a gripping 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League clash on Saturday (March 2).

The Reds, clearly exhausted from having played three games in the space of just over a week before the game, weren’t at their clinical best but a late Darwin Nunez goal helped secure three points.

Nunez, who only came on as a substitute, was clearly one of the major positives from the game because of the character he displayed in getting the winner.

Alexis Mac Allister, who created six scoring chances and got his reward with an assist for the winner, was another bright spot and kept driving his side forward efficiently.

Liverpool were also pretty strong defensively, with Virgil van Dijk commanding a sturdy backline and making three clearances and a crucial block to deny a goal from Morgan Gibbs-White.

Caiomhin Keller also continued his fine form, making a string of important saves to keep Liverpool in the game right until the end.

Jurgen Klopp will hope that his players can maintain this impressive momentum until the end of the season to give him the perfect final hurrah in the form of another Premier League title.
