Liverpool end 40-year City Ground hoodoo by finally beating Forest away from home

Liverpool have finally won a Premier League game away at Nottingham Forest.

Previously, they have not won a league game at the City Ground since 1984.

Granted, Forest spent plenty of seasons outside of the top flight. They stayed in the top division until the 1996/97 season, returned for one campaign in 1998/99, and finally got promoted again in 2022.

However, even at their lowest points, Forest remained unbeaten at the City Ground. Last season, they beat Liverpool 1-0 just months after returning to the Premier League.

The Reds needed a 99th-minute goal to end this streak, with Darwin Nunez scoring a goal that will certainly be in the end-of-season highlight reel.
