Angry Forest owner reportedly chases referee down the tunnel after Liverpool loss — it was Paul Tierney

For a change, Liverpool are not the side that feels offended the most by referee Paul Tierney after a Premier League game.

According to BBC Radio Five Live reporter Rob Schofield, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis chased the official in the tunnel after a 1-0 defeat to the Reds.

"You rarely see scenes like that in the tunnel," Schofield said.

"We saw [Forest coach] Steven Reid getting frustrated. He and the Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis pursued referee Paul Tierney and fourth official Graham Scott all the way to referee's office yelling at them "Respect the players! Respect the players! This happens every week! Respect the players!

"Marinakis had to be removed by security at one stage. The Forest players were furious, Nuno looked absolutely crestfallen. Jurgen Klopp stormed past me saying he doesn't know why he's getting so much flak. It really was all kicking off down here. Furious scenes."

Before that, Marinakis was seen on the pitch, trying to have a word with Tierney, after Forest conceded the decisive goal in the 99th minute, despite eight minutes being added.

Forest were also angry that Liverpool were given the ball before the goal after a head injury for Ibrahima Konate.

Prior to the game, Klopp probably had more reasons to be concerned over the officiating after making unflattering comments on Tierney.
