Jurgen Klopp has asked Liverpool fans to stop shouting for Joe Gomez to shoot every time he gets in an attacking position.
Speaking to LFCTV after the FA Cup win over Southampton, Klopp praised Gomez for his versatility but told fans to allow Gomez to find the right moment to score.
"Now he [Gomez] plays the six... Ay yai yai... the way he played is absolutely crazy," said the boss.
"Can I ask the people, as funny as it is... 'shoooot'. Leave the boy alone, one day he will shoot, he will find the moment himself.
"If he shoots from 40 yards just because the people are calling then I will really get a bit angry but what a boy, what a game. Absolutely exceptional."
Despite having played 233 senior games, Gomez is still on the hunt for his first goal.
