Jayden Danns made an instant impact after coming on for Luis Diaz in the 89th minute of the Luton game.
Less than two minutes into his first senior appearance, the 18-year-old slid the ball into the box for Cody Gakpo.
A Luton defender blocked the Dutchman's effort but Harvey Elliott arrived first on the loose ball and smashed home to seal the 4-1 victory for the Reds.
While Danns won't be credited for this, he basically provided a 'pre-assist' for the strike.
