Liverpool eye Marc Guehi summer deal (reliability: 5 stars)

The Telegraph's Matt Law, generally a credible source, reports that Liverpool hold interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Whether Liverpool will make an offer or not depends on who they'll appoint as a sporting director and as a head coach. However, the Englishman already features on the Reds' wishlist for the summer.

Guehi signed for Palace in 2021 on a £18m transfer from Chelsea. The Blues have no buyback clause but have a right to make a matching offer if one is accepted by the Eagles. Another side that could rival Liverpool for Guehi is Man United.

The 23-year-old has made 108 appearances for Palace. He's also earned nine England caps.

Joel Matip is expected to leave Liverpool this summer on contract expiry.
