How Conor Bradley influenced Liverpool's transfer policy in 2022 when he was nowhere near starting XI

Conor Bradley emerged as one of the best players at Liverpool in January, casually dropping two MOTM performances in a row, first against Norwich and then against Chelsea.

The Northern Irishman appeared a bit like a rabbit out of the hat, an ace in Jurgen Klopp's sleeve we weren't aware of. But Liverpool have known about him and his potential all along.

Remember Neco Williams? A lively, talented right-back who was making strides in the first team but was sold to Nottingham Forest for £17m in 2022.

The Athletic report that the decision to sell Neco came after they realised they have Bradley coming through the ranks in the academy. Bradley had already made five senior appearances for the Reds when Liverpool sold Williams and the coaching staff knew that the potential was there.

So Conor has not only just saved millions of pounds the Reds would have otherwise spent on a new right-back to cover for Trent. His emergence helped the Reds raise £17m through selling Neco.
