Liverpool received a boost in the form of Kostas Tsimikas returning earlier than expected from his collarbone injury sustained against Arsenal last month.
The Greek Scouser has started training with the team and is expected to be back in contention to start very soon.
A lot of Liverpool fans are delighted to see Tsimikas’ determination to regain fitness earlier than expected amid a shortage of options at left-back.
However, some are also disappointed in how he worked hard to regain fitness in rapid fashion – as compared to Thiago Alcantara.
The Spaniard has been out with various injuries since April 2023 and has not played a single game this season. His case is different to Tsimikas’, with Thiago suffering horrible injuries to his hamstring and hip.
Despite that, fans are still annoyed at the Spanish midfielder for failing to show enough desire to recover and reacted on Twitter.
Mase: “No way Tsimikas is already back before Thiago.”
Nish: “Tsimikas broke his collarbone and comes back before Thiago Alcantara.”
Valentin: “Nah Tsimikas is coming back before Thiago.”
David: “Tsimikas’ season was over and he’s back before Thiago.”
