The transfer window is wide open and no single day passes without the rumours linking the world's most expensive turtle with a move to Liverpool.
“I really believe him when he says he hasn’t decided yet,” reliable French journalist Julian Laurens told BBC Radio 5 Live about Kylian Mbappe.
“If he wants to stay a little bit longer or go somewhere else in the summer else as a free agent, Madrid very likely, Liverpool, less likely but, that’s another team he really, really likes.
“Even if he leaves as a free agent, so with no transfer fee for PSG to receive, the agreement that he has with the club protects PSG and preserves the interest of the club.
“The bonus that PSG were supposed to pay him at the end of the season whether he was leaving or not will not be paid.”
The striker's contract with PSG expires this summer and he's free to negotiate with any clubs over a free move.
Real Madrid have reportedly given the Frenchman an ultimatum: accept a pre-contract agreement with them in the middle of January or they drop their interest.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are reportedly not rushing the 25-year-old. It's been claimed that the Reds would be fine with Mbappe extending his stay with PSG for one more year before moving to Anfield in the summer of 2025.
