Kostas Tsimikas is optimistic that he will be back on the pitch before the end of the current Premier League campaign, This Is Anfield's David Lynch reports.

The Liverpool left-back suffered a serious collarbone injury in a draw with Arsenal last weekend.

Since Jurgen Klopp announced the diagnosis, it was apparent that Tsimikas would be out for months, rather than weeks.

However, if the recovery is successful, he will have a chance to feature for the Reds during the run-in.

In his absence, Klopp will have to rely on Joe Gomez while hoping that Andy Robertson's return is imminent.
