'Before Brentford I was not in the best condition': Tsimikas vows to continue to 'fight back' after turning form around

Kostas Tsimikas is back at the AXA training centre to link up with his Liverpool teammates ahead of this weekend's clash with Man City.

The left-back revealed that the reason for his early return is that he has not be participating in Greece's clash with France due to a risk of suspension due to accumulation of yellow cards.

The defender opened up on his Liverpool form which had not been the best up until their clash with Brentford before the international break.

"Before Brentford, I was not in the best condition of myself," admitted Tsimikas.

"I try to find my best moments, I try to fight back, to be the player I was before, to make assists, to run, to defend, to do everything on the pitch.

"I'm really happy I came back against Brentford. I have to keep going with the same passion.

"OK, this can happen, we play football, it's a very difficult sport. It's up to me now to continue to play good and to make assists for the team."
