Trent ends back and forth with Maddison with brutal response to 'still asking for replay' comment

Liverpool lost to Tottenham last month and were controversially denied a go-ahead goal by Luis Diaz due to a VAR error.

Jurgen Klopp mentioned in a press conference in the following days that the fair decision would be for the game to be replayed but admitted that it would not be possible.

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison posted an image with Trent Alexander Arnold in the England camp with a caption that read, 'still asking for a replay'.

Trent was asked about the joke in an interview and fired back with a zinger of his own.

"Nah," Alexander-Arnold said when asked whether Maddison's caption was really what was happening. "No, he was asking me to teach him how to put a free-kick in the top corner.

"But, I told him, I'd just shown him the video when I scored at Leicester last year and they got relegated."

Maddison was a part of the Leicester City side that got relegated last season and Trent sent them off with a parting gift, a postage-stamp free-kick.
