'Costing us titles': Unbelievable stat shows different standards of refereeing in Liverpool games

It's even more clear when you look at their decisions for yellow cards and free kicks. Liverpool players almost have to be assaulted for free kicks (with usually no yellow card) whereas opposition, or mancs just hit the deck at the slightest touch and free kick given and often a ridiculously soft yellow given to Liverpool players.

The worse part about it comparing to teams like, Man U, Man City, Chelsea. Liverpool players are less aggressive when tacking opponents. we do more back tracking when opponents have the ball. These other teams is up on you putting more body contact pressure to opponents.

Paul tomkins also has some damming stats compiled which shows the clear anti Liverpool bias of the pgmol. It's really clear when you look at different games how they treat Liverpool Vs manc teams so differently

Hi Dave, I know you do look into things so good to see your post. I'm sure, like most of the reds on here, I would be interested in getting more of the analysis of this and similar reports like the one on Tompkins Times or even links to it. I firmly believe that there's enough evidence to show the anti Liverpool bias that exists within the pgmol (and therefore FA and PL). I think it is fixable if the people running pgmol are removed and they can then set a different culture for less bias, but the people running pgmol are not going to do that so with the current set up, I agree with you that it is not possible to fix this unfortunately

Hi Dave, anything is worth trying as nothing will change otherwise. Feels like at times we have the fergiescum fan club as the main officials appointed to our games🙄. We always have the officials as an extra hurdle to overcome

I agree with his analysis and conclusion of the study though. There's no evidence of corruption, it's just a shocking subconscious bias and in most cases, sheer incompetence. But I'll allow you to draw your own conclusions

Aleksei, I read the whole study, as I'm sure you have too. It's a long long read, but the results are really concerning if you're a Liverpool fan.

I found the fact that we're more likely to get positive decisions from Manc refs on Manc grounds and at Anfield to be an eye opener. It shows there's basic bias whether intentional or not.

I'm not sure it's possible to actually fix this as refs and their teams are humans, unintentional bias will always exist as its a human trait.

Not sure that's accurate, we were pretty pony most of the 90s, ups and downs 20s, a couple of great teams followed by bang average lol
