No shots on target, big chance missed: Michail Antonio boastful claims come back to bite him at Anfield

Ahead of visiting Anfield, Michail Antonio was quite vocal about his belief that West Ham were going to beat Liverpool and challenge them for a top-four spot.

Well, we don't know about the latter, but the game on Sunday did not play out quite how Antonio would've hoped.

The striker himself did very little to back up his claims. He has registered zero shots on target or aerial duels won, while missing one big chance and losing possession 10 times.

The 33-year-old will probably choose words more carefully ahead of Liverpool's return visit scheduled for April.
