Villa's Boubacar Kamara emerges as option to replace Fabinho (reliaility: 5 stars)

Liverpool have identified Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara as a potential replacement for Fabinho, The Athletic report.

The 23-year-old joined Villa last summer as a free agent from Marseille and has established himself as an important player under Unai Emery.

However, two injuries have restricted the Frenchman to only 21 Premier League appearances in his first season.

Fabinho is on the cusp of joining Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad, although the Reds and the Saudis are still negotiating over the terms of his ₤40m move.
