Diogo Jota in 8-man shortlist for Premier League Player of the Month award for April

Diogo Jota has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for April.

It's quite a turnaround for the Liverpool forward who at one point went a year without scoring a single goal.

In April, however, Jota grabbed a brace against Leeds and Nottingham Forest before scoring a dramatic late winner in the Tottenham win. He also provided a couple of assists in the league last month.

Jota is up against Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson (Newcastle United), Dominic Solanke (AFC Bournemouth) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) on the shortlist.

The vote is taking place here until the deadline of 12pm BST on Monday, May 8.
