"Before the season they give us advice that the players must be careful in these moments because the refs will have an eye on it and you see these games and pretty much everything is allowed. It's always on the edge."

The Reds were utterly dominated on set pieces in their own box and probably got lucky that two goals were scratched due to offside.

In any case, Liverpool hardly deserved more than what they got from the game which was yet another disappointing display.

Harvey Elliott should never had started the game, he maybe the future, but right now he is not good enough. Our midfield should start taking long range shots. Their defence blocked almost all shots in the box.

I would add Liverpool should change their play style, or at least develop it somehow. It a big change and not a small feat to just do overnight I know, but as I watch through the games its seems like a lot of teams have liverpool figured out

Klopp is right,  the culture of most refs is pro manc and anti Liverpool, been that way from those running English game for years BUT, and it's a big but, right now our biggest problem is the lack of investment in the team from FSG since winning CL. All our rivals have consistently invested more. We can't compete with blatant sports washers like chity and newcrapple, but we should be with manure and chelski and we're nowhere near! The last few windows of miserly FSG is the biggest reason we are where we are now but there are also some players who are not performing to an acceptable level consistently and yesterday, forrest, Leeds, Brighton, manure, are very clear examples of that! Not good enough for LFC! Sickening to watch 😒

@Suhaib Zamzami. You've nailed everything on the head. Klopp should talk to his employers. Liverpool needs fresh legs not all this tired legs that have done us proud. Their time is up and the injury prone players should be sold or allow to go. Club owners are seriously investing in their teams but not FSG. They don't care, they want cheap players and expect success. Success isn't cheap anymore. English fans should stage a protest, maybe that will wake FSG up. Thanks for your article 👍

It's not only that, it's that the PL is a very competitive league compared to other leagues due to the money other owners invest in their clubs year in year out. FSG had good investments in the past, emphasis on "had" and "past," we need new blood, we need more depth on the field and in the second squad that klopp can use.

Look I understand Klopp is frustrated by some decisions made by the refs (true or not), but we cant ignore the big elephant in the room, we lack depth in defense and midfield. Its not only stats that tells us this, its what we see day in and day out. I love liverpool with all my heart, but such performance after Klopp's comments on needing to put faith on the players we have, well Im sorry but we are 17 games in and we are sixth and with such perfomace its not looking good for UCL seat next season, Im sorry this is misplaced faith. Klopp you have extracted all you can from those players, you need to invest again, you cant play thiago till he is 40 (not saying thaigo is bad just an example). You have an aging team investing in young talent such as Bajectic and Doak is great but such investment takes time you have problems right now needing immediate attention. So, please Klopp dont take it personally, Im talking from my heart, please urge the owners to reach into their pockets and give you money, like proper money to invest in the team, not some coins to barely buy one player. In the end this is contructive critcism (nothing personal).

I think he does look at himself and he even said that but the problems are compounded by biased refs giving what they can against Liverpool and for the opposition. But you're 100% right about FSG needing to invest , but most fans recognised that for at least 2 years now so it's clear they won't which is why we need to change the structure of the club ASAP before we fall way behind

Love klopp but needs to stop blaming refs for defeats , that one was totally down to us , wasn’t a foul on konate he barely touched him but yes fsg need to invest or sell before we get left far behind

I'm not that in support of Klopp complain. He accepted the 2 previous goals that is still 2 - 1. Klopp should change his pattern. Also, he should make it clear to his employers, Liverpool needs fresh legs. At the beginning of the season, he said we don't need midfielders that the injured one will be like new players when they are fit. But instead, more are also injured. We need total over hauling and big investment. FSG have made billions they should invest in the club.

Klopp needs to look at himself and the team and stop looking foe excuses, NOT GOOD ENOUGH  F.GS NEEDS TO INVEST IN NEW PLAYERS.

The problem with the team is now in all the departments. Imagine the same player scoring 3 times within minutes (thank God only one counted)! It is embarrassing to say the least
