The Spanish midfielder scored his debut goal for Liverpool, producing an ice cold finish by rounding goalkeeper 

 was spotted - with both delighted and surprised at how well he converted it. 

Bajcetic will hope the goal gives him a better chance at starting more games for the Reds in a busy fixture schedule ahead.

The Egyptian winger has benefitted from a little break and seems to be back to his best. Got in the right place to score a simple goal before producing a cheeky assist for Van Dijk. Created a lot of chances after that and was extremely proactive all game long.

Bullied Leon Bailey to neutralize his threat and was an ever-present figure on the left. Produced a rare right-footed assist for Salah’s opener and also got into a lot of more promsing positions after that to create chances. A real lively effort from Robbo.

Probably had the coolest-head for any Liverpool defender in a chaotic game. Involved in a lot of good stuff, including a fanastic goal he scored through a sea of bodies to make it 2-0. He also made 6 clearances, 2 interceptions and 5 possession recoveries in a solid defensive display.

Henderson acted as an engine for Liverpool’s midfield, pressing the Villa players really well and forcing them into mistakes. Moved the ball forward well, got into some great positions himself and won key duels too.

Trent was almost out to prove Gareth Southgate wrong, showcasing his insane talent with some amazing crosses. Helped set up the opener with a fantastic pass to Robbo. Cut it close to trouble with his defensive work at times, but a solid outing from Trent.

A memorable outing for the young midfielder, who was brought on to help Liverpool defend their lead but ended up doing one better – scoring a sweet goal to help seal a win for his side.

Diffcult to rate him after that kind of a performance. Nunez missed A LOT of chances, some real sitters as well. But he was also key to helping Liverpool create so many chances, getting in behind the defenders persistently. Helped set up the third goal with a nice run and cut-back, getting praise from the visitors supporters for his hard work.

Bajcetic looked better than Thiago and Hendo today after he came on.  he should get to start soon.  hes probably even better than the few of the mdfielders wea are linked with even
