'He made big steps': Klopp hails West Ham player — he was linked with Liverpool

"It is good fun watching them," Jurgen Klopp said of West Ham, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

"They became a high, high intensity team, and you can only become that when you are on the front foot. That's what they are.

"When you want to finish off the situations off, you need top strikers and that's what they obviously have.

"I like Bowen a lot. He made his way up from Hull and took not too long to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League. He made big steps."

Bowen has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past and Klopp's comments could be considered as an attempt to lure the Englishman to Anfield.

But the Reds boss showered other West Ham players in praise so it's most likely his genuine admiration for David Moyes' team.

"Michail Antonio, since I've been in England, I think he has played five or six positions, including right-back. He is obviously a proper, proper striker," Klopp continued.

"Fornals is back in the Spanish national team, he is an incredible player and is a footballer who can play between the lines.

"Benrahma is a really exciting one, he was at Brentford and is now a proper, proper figure in the West Ham offensive play.

"Then you have at double six Rice and Soucek, two guys who are a threat up front passing-wise, Soucek also with the head and Rice with all he has.

"Incredibly quick and smart full-backs and now they have the centre-half pairing they wanted, and Fabianski is a really experienced goalkeeper."

Bowen has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 16 games across all competitions so far this season.
