The 2021 summer transfer window is done, with Liverpool not doing a lot of business. Ibrahima Konate was the only addition to the squad, although there were a lot of outgoings.
First, let's take a look at the players who left and the one star who was added and what their transfer values are (all the fees are as per Transfermarkt) :
Incomings
Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig - £36m
Outgoings
Harry Wilson to Fulham - £12.6m
Taiwo Awoniyi to Union Berlin - £5.85m
Xherdan Shaqiri to Olympique Lyon - £5.4m
Kamil Grabara to FC Copenhagen - £3.15m
Liam Millar to FC Basel - £1.35m
Georginio Wijnaldum to PSG - free transfer
Yasser Larouci to Troyes - free transfer
Remi Savage to Newcastle - free transfer
Marko Grujic left the team too for a fee of £10.5m. However, he, just like Wilson, wasn't part of the squad last season, so his transfer away did not affect the total team value.
It's important to notice that Wijnaldum's current market value is £27.00m and the Reds lost him on a free transfer.
And here is Liverpool's updated squad list and their respective values:
And as per Transfermarkt, the Reds now have the 5th most expensive squad in the world, with a value of £791.55m.
The squad value has gone down as we sold a few players and didn't replace them, as well as Gini's free transfer impacting it too.
