Liverpool sign 16-year-old Bobby Clark from Newcastle

 have confirmed the signing of Bobby Clark, with the youngster joining the Reds Academy from 

Clark operated as an attack-minded midfielder for Newcastle's youth sides and has represented England at 

Clark shared a small message for Reds fans on Instagram, writing: "Over the moon to have signed with this great club, Liverpool FC. 

"Looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together! YNWA "

The Reds have seen a number of academy prospects make the first team lately, with 

Elliott: At first I couldn't believe I was training with Salah and Mane. Now I see them as competition

"The first few training sessions after I first arrived at 

 was like, 'Woah, I am actually training with these guys.'," 

"Going from watching them live on TV to seeing them in person and training alongside them, you really realise what a presence they bring. 

"They are world-class players but we’re all here to fight for a place in the team. We’re all competing for the same thing. 

"Now I look upon them as my competition. I learn a lot from them. 

"They are great inspirations to kids around the world — and to me too — with what they have been through and what they’ve achieved. 

"I want to achieve big things like they have."

Harvey has become a first-team player at Liverpool after returning from a loan at Blackburn.

These words are another example of exemplary mentality from the youngster as he wants to turn into a key player for the Reds.

Klopp uses him in central midfield so Salah and Mane are not really his competition at the moment though. However, Harvey's natural position is that of a winger so perhaps he could return to the attacking role in a few years.

Elliott: 'Our aim is to win Premier League and Champions League - we don't settle for second place'

"It's either go big or go home. The Prem - that's our aim. If you come second , third or fourth then you don't get a medal," 

"So that's our ambition, that's our aim. 

"We have the players that can do it. Last year didn't really go to plan and obviously we need to look at stuff that's happened in our team due to injuries and whatnot. 

"But now everyone is back, everyone looks sharp and we're raring to go."

Very confident words from the 18-year-old who was on fire against Burnley a couple of days ago! The Reds managed to end the 30-year curse by winning the league back in 2020, but injuries last season made the title defence impossible.

Let's see where we end up this season - it's great to see Elliott's mentality here!
