Fernando Torres to manage Atletico Madrid U19 team
Former Liverpool forward Fernando Torres will become the head coach of the Atletico Madrid's Juvenil A (or Under-19) side, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The 37-year-old appeared to hint at his comeback on the pitch back in May but now, it looks like he's set his sights on a coaching career.
Sturridge on trial with Mallorca after a year-long hiatus
Another ex-Red, Daniel Sturridge has been out of football since March 2020 after a ban for breaching gambling rules led to the termination of his contract with Trabzonspor.
Now, Mallorca, who are back in La Liga, have offered him a chance to train with their first-team squad from Wednesday. There's no guarantee of a contract, though.
Liverpool keen on Euro 2020 sensation Damsgaard
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Liverpool, Tottenham and Real Madrid are all looking at Denmark forward Mikkel Damsgaard, 21, who was a massive revelation at Euro 2020.
The Sampdoria player is valued at less than £12m by Transfermarkt, but it's unlikely that he will be sold that such a price after his heroics with Denmark.
