'Project Donnarumma looks like a resounding failure': Football fans slam Donnarumma for conceding Hummels' header

It was a tough day for Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG's second-leg Champions League match finished with a 1-0 score and the Italian goalkeeper was partly at fault for this goal.

After Mats Hummels scanned Donnarumma to find weak spots.

He won the air duel and hit a great header.

Donnarumma tried to save the ball, awkwardly swinging his hands and jumping.

These moves, though, were not good enough to save the shot.

Fans didn't hold back their words calling Donnarumma a failure.

@pauciloquxnt: "Project Donnarumma looks like a resounding failure."

Grace Anthony: "Unpopular opinion: Donnarumma would have conceded more goals in Manchester United than Onana."

@ThatJargo: "PSG ain’t touching the UCL until they get rid of Donnarumma tbh."

@Sebastianrdz01: "Donnarumma is a fraud. He's probably just PSG because he has a good agent. That header was a relatively easy save. But no he jumped early for a spread save."

@Nym_Eria: "But isn’t Donnarumma embarrassed to be almost 2m tall and concede such goals?"

This season the Italian goalkeeper conceded 36 goals across 40 appearances in all competitions.
