Aston Villa are making a strong push for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season and are currently holding their own in the fourth position in the Premier League table.
Their winger Leon Bailey has praised the impact of Unai Emery in turning them into top-4 contenders, saying: “Listen, he’s amazing. For me, he’s one of the best coaches I’ve worked under.
“The detail he wants from the team and structure for every game going forward is amazing. As players, to have that understanding on the pitch every game - the details are so important.
“He takes the time to ensure we know every detail before we step on the pitch. For us, it’s helped us massively as a team. I think he always wants to win and he instills that in every single player, even if you’re not a regular starter.
"That’s why we have players off the bench, it’s almost as if they’ve started the game as they’re so ready, understanding their role of what to do. He’s been great.”
The Villans are currently five points clear of fifth place Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table, even though the Lilywhites have a game in hand.
Apart from challenging for a top-4 place in the Premier League, Villa are also competing for the UEFA Europa Conference League title and faces Ajax in the Round of 16 fixture.
