Pep Guardiola compared Phil Foden to Lionel Messi as the Manchester City star keeps improving his game.
Quoted by Daily Mail, Guardiola said: "The good players, you can play good - but you have to win games, and I met the biggest ever player like Messi. He can win games and I don't want to compare because Phil is not the level from Leo but he is winning games."
The Catalan's remarks were put to Foden, who replied: "No way? You can't compare anyone to Messi he is in his own world but to hear that from the manager is really nice."
Foden's brace during Sunday's 3-1 victory over Manchester United earned him lots of praise not only from his coach. With every game, Foden starts to influence Man City's playstyle more and more.
In the last 6 matches, Foden scored 6 crucial goals playing a full 90 minutes in each game. It's not a surprise, he is being compared with the football legends.
