Mbappe, Wan-Bissaka and eight more highly valued players who can agree to change clubs in January

The January transfer window has officially opened and a host of players across Europe are expected to change clubs soon, on loan or permanently.

Although biggest transfers usually happen in the summer, there are many quality players who can sign pre-contract agreements with new clubs midway through the current season.

Here are the top highest-valued footballers whose contracts are expiring in the summer of 2024 (via Transfermarkt):

Kylian Mbappé, LW: €180.00m

The Frenchman is the biggest name on the list, not only because of his market value but also thanks to his goal-scoring exploits. Mbappe is heavily linked with Real Madrid and is expected to make a decision on his future shortly.

Adrien Rabiot, CM: €40.00m

Another France international on the list. Rabiot was on the brink of leaving Juventus in the summer but signed a one-year contract instead. He was linked with Man United previously but the Red Devils are showing no signs of interest now.

Tomas Soucek, DM: €35.00m

The West Ham man is a regular started for David Moyes' side and has a one-year extension clause in his current deal with the Irons. The London club hasn't triggered it yet and Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Soucek's situation.

Piotr Zielinski, CM: €30.00m

The Polish midfielder from Napoli reportedly already has an agreement with Inter Milan.

Mario Hermoso, CB: €25.00m

Hermoso's market value increased by €5m to €25m after his spell at Atletico Madrid. With 22 outings for Atleti, the defender is yet to sign a new deal, and Juventus are reportedly very interested in him.

Guido Rodriguez, DM: €24.00m

The Argentina defensive midfielder from Real Betis is linked with Barcelona and Man United. Both teams are having serious issues in that area and would be interested in bringing an experienced player like Rodriguez.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, RB: €20.00m

Aaron's contract with Man United has a one-year extension clause, but the Red Devils haven't made that move yet. Wan-Bissaka is arguably the likeliest player on this list not to change his current club: he plays regularly for Erik ten Hag's side and Man United don't look like they can afford to lose one of their key men.

Daichi Kamada, CM: €20.00m

The Japanese joined Lazio only last summer on a one-year deal and failed to become the kind of regular starter he used to be at Eintracht Frankfurt. A change of clubs is very much likely.

Josh Brownhill, CM: €18.00m

The Burnley captain might leave the team, especially considering the Clarets are in the relegation zone and could easily end up in the Championship when the season ends. Wolverhampton are probably the most interested team.

Wilfred Ndidi, DM: €18.00m

The Leicester man didn't leave his side when they were relegated from the Premier League but is expected to leave this summer when they look very likely to return to England's top tier.
