Ange Postecoglou provided an update on James Maddison and Micky van de Ven after they both had to leave the game due to injuries in Tottenham's 4-1 loss to Chelsea on Monday.
Maddison went down in the box, holding his ankle, and shortly after that, van de Ven appeared to be in a lot of pain, pulling up while running and clutching the back of his leg. They were both substituted just two minutes into added time at the end of the first half.
Quoted by Tottenhamhotspur.com, Postecoglou said: "It's too early, but looking at Micky, you're thinking it's a pretty significant one, so you'd assume he'll be out for a little while. Madders got a knock on the ankle, and we'll just have to assess him and see how it is."
Spurs had a strong start against Chelsea, going ahead with a goal from Dejan Kulusevski. But things took a turn for the worse when Cuti Romero received a straight red card, and Destiny Udogie got two yellow cards, resulting in a red card. This left Tottenham with 10 players from the 32nd minute and just 9 from the 55th minute.
