Alexis Beka Beka, who had threatened to jump from the Magnan viaduct in Nice, was safely taken off the scene.
The situation involved negotiations with a club psychologist on-site, alongside the efforts of emergency services, firemen, and the military. The incident reportedly happened because of a romantic breakup.
It was reported that Nice has reacted to the situation by cancelling their planned media events and setting up a crisis team. While training sessions will go on as usual, they've requested the press to leave, and the scheduled press conference has been postponed.
Beka Beka hasn't played for Nice this season. He joined the team last year from Lokomotiv Moscow and played in 22 games during his first year with the club.
