Ange Postecoglou had some really nice words for Richarlison after what he did in the game against Sheffield United. You might remember Richarlison was having a tough time recently, especially when he was playing for Brazil. He even talked openly about how he was feeling down.
But what went down at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday should have definitely cheered him up. He scored a goal in the 98th minute, making sure Sheffield United didn't snatch the victory away. And just a little while after that, he helped Dejan Kulusevski score too.
This goal not only brought victory to the Spurs but also made history. The win against Sheffield United was the latest winning comeback in the Premier League.
After the game, Coach Ange had some nice things to say about Richarlison's performance. Quoted by Tottenham's official website he said: "It was great for Richy. It was the point I was trying to make yesterday on Richy and everyone else."
"You’ve got to always try to get a balance in your life where you understand... his football hasn’t been that bad, he’s been a contributor for us, and sometimes when you have problems away from football you let it filter into other aspects of your life, and he doesn’t need to."
"Hopefully a day like today shows him and gives him the strength and confidence to deal with whatever else is going on with his life. He was great, all the subs who came on really contributed as well, that’s been a consistent thing for us as well, and we’re going to need it."
