Al Ittihad's potential XI worth €160m if Mo Salah joins from Liverpool

If this summer has taught us football fans anything, it's that everything is possible in football if the right money is involved. Two words: Saudi Arabia.

The next in line could be Mohammed Salah which would be the ultimate coup for league officials: the icon of the Arab world playing in the Middle East.

So what there's just a week left of the transfer window? Liverpool already sold Fabinho and Henderson without a plan to replace those. Again, do not write anything off in football.

If Mo Salah actually wants to go to Al Ittihad, he'd meet there his former teammate Fabinho as well as familiar faces in N'Golo Kante and Karim Benzema ... and that's it.

Al Ittihad may be the reigning champions but their transfer campaign have been meek compared to what their rivals are doing.

Let's have a look at Al Ittihad's potential XI: Grohe, Al Hawsawi, Sharahili, O.Hawsawi, Al-Shanqueeti, Fabinho, Kante, Romarinho, Coronado, Salah, Benzema.

This backline only conceded 13 goals in 30 games last season which is absolutely stunning, but could they do the same in a new-look Saudi Pro League? Truth be told though, these defenders will now be protected by N'Golo Kante and Fabinho.

Up front, Al Ittihad look alright but not fantastic without Salah: transfers from the past Coronado and Romarinho are accompanied by 35-year-old Karim Benzema, who is already facing problems in Saudi Arabia.

There is also a highly prolific winger Jota but he is being frozen out amid rumours about his lifestyle and sexuality.

According to market valuations from Transfermarkt, this team with Salah would cost €158,975,000, although you should take Transfermarkt estimations for what they are: attempts to rationalise a player's market price rather than his true value to his club.
