'Being in Naples is a privilege, not an obligation': Napoli president De Laurentiis on Spalletti amid exit rumours

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has addressed fans who asked him about the future of head coach Luciano Spalletti who might be headed out just weeks after winning the first Serie A title in 33 years for the club.

"Guys, staying in Naples is a privilege, not an obligation," De Laurentiis told the crowd.

"Last June I promised you, daringly, that we would bring the Scudetto to Naples and we succeeded.

"Now we have opened a cycle with you, now you have to find that patience again. We have opened a cycle and in the next few years we must all win again together."

It looks like De Laurentiis is fully prepared to move forward without Spalletti, as well as sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli who is rumoured to be close to joining Juventus.
