Jose Mourinho shocked reporters at his pre-match press conference by predicting a question about Nicolo Zaniolo.
The Roma boss wrote his prediction on a piece of paper and handed it to the reporter that asked the question. Here's what the paper read:
Zaniolo has been rumoured to want a move away from Roma and picked up an injury on international duty with Italy. Mourinho did address the question about Zaniolo from the reporter saying:
“He arrived on Thursday morning with a problem with his flexors, we cannot control what is happening in the national team. He didn’t train with us, he is the first one who lets me know when he’s unavailable.
“I knew the second question was going to be this. I don’t see you asking Allegri why Bernardeschi doesn’t play, I don’t see you asking Inzaghi why he didn’t play Edin Dzeko from the start.
“Zaniolo’s situation is simple, there is nothing to say. Call Zaniolo or the agent, they can tell you the truth.”
