Newcastle United have identified Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet as their new transfer target, according to Diario Sport.
The Premier League club reportedly made first contact with the Catalans regarding the Frenchman's possible arrival.
The 26-year-old has about 5 years left on his current deal with Blaugrana. The defender has made just 4 appearances for Barca this season.
Some other Barcelona players, including Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti, are also said to be on the club's radars.
As a reminder, Newcastle United have been taken over by a Saudi-led group. It's expected that the club could soon spend over 100 million euros on transfers.
