'They are pushing': Fabrizio Romano reveals Barca's boost in Xavi Simons race

RB Leipzig can't afford Xavi Simons' permanent move, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona are pushing for the loan, although Leipzig and several Premier League clubs are also interested in it.

The Dutchman will decide the future with Paris Saint-Germain in July, after the Euros.

Earlier, it was reported that PSG were negotiating a permanent move with RB Leipzig. Since it's not possible, it should really open the door for Simons' Barcelona comeback.

Both Xavi Simons and Barca's coaching staff would like to team up this summer. Simons' current deal with the Parisians reportedly allows him to pick his next loan destination.

The Dutchman has scored nine goals and delivered 15 assists in 42 appearances for RB Leipzig this season.

Simons was part of La Masia from 2010 to 2019 before he left the club for PSG for free.
