Barcelona are once again linked with a move for Man City playmaker Bernardo Silva. Silva is understood to be ready for a new challenge, with the prospect of linking up with Barca an altogether enticing one.
City, however, will not be moved in their stance that any club interested in the 29-year-old’s services must activate his €60 million release clause.
Silva’s salary, including the amortisation costs, adds up to a sum of around €25 million per year. Barcelona, thus, require a massive sale in the form of the departure of a heavyweight to fund the same.
Raphinha, Ronald Araújo, and Frenkie de Jong have been named as the most likely players due to their respective market values, and widespread interest in their services.
De Jong, though, is viewed as top on the list due to his wages.
