Everton face another point deduction in Premier League – what it means for Barca

Everton have been handed a further two-point deduction for breaching the Premier League's financial rules.

The Toffees are now only two points ahead of the relegation zone while they are yet to play against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This a slight boost for Barcelona and their chances to sign Amadou Onana this summer. If Everton are relegated, the Toffees reportedly will lower the asking price for the defensive midfielder from €55m to €40m.

Onana is said to be a big favourite for Deco and part of the Barca board. However, every penny matters given the club's delicate financial situation.

Signing a high-profile defensive midfielder is said to be Blaugrana's priority this summer.
