Canada have been drawn in one group with Argentina in the 2024 Copa America.
Alphonso Davies' winning record against Leo Messi is 100 per cent at the moment. The superstar left-back was asked if he could keep it perfect.
"I'm happy to play against the best player in the world and to be able to win with my team, but it's a team effort, not one-on-one competition.
"Playing with a country is a different animal. They [Argentina] have just won the World Cup, so they have all the confidence in the world."
"It's going to be a tough game against the world champions, and honestly, there's nothing that has not been said about them that I can say. They are a top team."
Davies has beaten Messi three times in his career – twice when Leo played for Paris Saint-Germain and once when the Argentine was part of Barcelona (the famous 8-2 defeat).
The 23-year-old is one of Messi's biggest fans among footballers. He has lots of Leo-related things at home, including the GOAT's framed signed jersey.
Argentina will face Canada in the Copa America group stage on June 20.
