Bayern slap ludicrous 'price tag' on Kimmich to dissuade Barca

Bayern Munich have slapped a ludicrous €70-80m price tag on Joshua Kimmich, per fairly reliable German outlet Kicker.

Kimmich is 29 now and turns 30 next summer which makes one wonder why Barcelona or any other club would pay more than €50m for his signature.

Apparently, Bayern are hiking Kimmich's asking price as they have no intention of letting him go in the summer. The central midfielder is considered a leader in the Bayern dressing room and has proved to be an efficient performer.

The German midfielder was one of Xavi's transfer requests to the club last summer but Deco declined citing Barca's limited finances. The same is likely to be the case next summer.

Kimmich has had a difficult time with outgoing Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel. However, he's managed to put up some impressive performances, with 8 assists and a goal after 31 games.
