'Gavi favouritism': Cules regret allowing player 'better than Pedri & De Jong' leave

With Barcelona's injury problems piling up, some fans believe the club made the wrong decision to sell Frank Kessie last summer.

The Ivorian who spent one season in Spain after joining on a free transfer struggled to make an impact in Catalonia.

Following the arrival of Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu, Kessie was made available for transfer and he ultimately opted to reject interest from Europe in favour of an expensive switch to Saudi side Al Ahli.

Pedri, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong are currently injured. And some Culers think that he would have been valuable this term.

🗣️Anonymous: "Y'all want him gone including you Admin but now it's 'Barcelona should've kept Jessie'".

🗣️Tony Barca: "We should have kept him, modern football is about physicality and athleticism. We need players with certain qualities in our squad... We need to catch up with modern football. We need physicalities and a bit of football brain and Kessie is the perfect player."

🗣️Richard: "This Gavi favouritism killed Xavi. Now they are injured".

🗣️Talent Chitanda: "They should keep him Kessie is better than Pedri and De Jong".

🗣️MedianSKy: "Should have tried him at DM more often".

🗣️Valery3052: "True because he was more preferable than old Romeo".

Kessie managed 43 appearances in all competitions during his time in Catalonia but he was restricted to just seven La Liga starts as Xavi preferred other options in midfield.
