Ferran Torres receives bad injury news on his birthday

News filtering in at Barcelona confirms that Ferran Torres will not recover on time to play against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, per Mundo Deportivo.

Ferran turns 24 today, February 29 and is lucky to celebrate his special day once every four years in a leap year like 2024.

Barcelona shared a video of Ferran blowing out his birthday cake.

Unfortunately, the attacker will not be fit on time to help Barcelona in their trip to San Mames where they face Bilbao this Sunday.

Ferran has been out for a month with a hamstring injury. It's forced him to miss five Barca matches.

With 11 goals and four assists in 32 games, Ferran was one of Barca's in-form strikers before the injury.
