Alphonso Davies' agent is asking Barca for €12m net per year plus add-ons, reports Gerard Romero.
The Canadian's representative, Nedal Househ, spent three days in Barcelona. He met Deco in the same hotel where Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff had a meeting with Antonio Rudiger in 2022. Interestingly, he also requested a private room in the hotel; however, it wasn't available.
Things are getting interesting here. Davies was initially expected to sign for Real Madrid, but it seems like his agent is seriously considering the possibility of making a sensational u-turn.
€12m per year is probably too much for Blaugrana who set a salary limit of €10m under Joan Laporta. Given the little difference in demands, though, it seems like the two parties may negotiate the deal successfully.
Davies was actually offered to Barcelona in 2019 before he joined Bayern. However, Josep Maria Bartomeu decided against signing the Canadian prospect because of his nationality. Alphonso is a big fan of Leo Messi, but he hasn't really declared his love for Blaugrana.
The superstar left-back has scored one goal and provided three assists in 27 appearances for Bayern Munich this season.
